Engine 3 is a 2000 Freightliner FL-80 / Emergency One Fire Apparatus, and it is our Primary Engine. It carries 1000 gallons of water and will pump 1250 gallons per minute. It also carries rescue type and extrication tools for use during any incident where they may be needed. Additionally, this Engine carries a 2100 gallon drop tank which comes in handy in rural communities due to the lack of a good hydrant system. This drop tank allows us to run water shuttles to have a constant source of water. This truck is the "Highlight of Gadsden County" the nickname given due to the color of the apparatus.
This apparatus is primary for any fire incidents and secondary for rescue/EMS type incidents. The apparatus is owned by the Mount Pleasant Fire Department.
Tanker 3 is a 1999 Freightliner FL-80 / American LaFrance Tanker-Pumper that carries 1500 gallons of water. This apparatus is a must for us due to the lack of hydrants in some areas of our coverage area as well as other parts of the County.
This apparatus is our secondary for any incidents that involve a fire. This apparatus is owned by Gadsden County.
Rescue 3 is a 2003 Chevrolet 3500 that serves as our quick response vehicle. This truck does not carry any water. However, it does carry all of our rescue tools, vehicle extrication equipment and emergency medical equipment.
This truck is our primary for any rescue/EMS type incidents that we are dispatched to. This includes medical emergencies, vehicle crashes, EMS Assists and etc. The apparatus is owned by the Mount Pleasant Fire Department.
Brush 3 is a 2001 Dodge 4x4 truck that is equipped to respond to wildland, vegetation, grass and brush type fires. This truck has a 300-gallon water tank with an integrated foam tank. Additionally, this truck carries a portable compressed air foam system extinguisher that allows us to quickly apply foam on a smaller fire.
This truck is our primary for any outdoor fire type incidents that we are dispatched to. This includes grass, trash, vegetation and wildland fires. This vehicle is on loan from the Florida Forest Service through the Federal Excess Personal Property (FEPP) and Firefighter Property (FFP) program.
Chief 3 is a 2013 Ford Explorer that allows us to respond to incidents that may only need manpower or that do not require specialized equipment. This vehicle does carry a portable compressed air foam system extinguisher and standard fire extinguishers. Additionally, there are times when personnel need to go to training sessions, workshops, or a meeting, and this vehicle can be used instead of taking a larger truck out of service or delaying its response. This vehicle is owned by the Mount Pleasant Fire Department.
