Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department Spreads the Love This Valentine's Day
Mount Pleasant, FL –The Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department is excited to share a heartfelt message with the community this Valentine's Day. As we celebrate love and togetherness, the department wants to remind everyone of the importance of safety and caring for one another.
Deputy Chief Jim Roberts expressed his appreciation for the community's continued support and cooperation. "On this special day, we want to extend our gratitude to the residents of Mount Pleasant for their unwavering support. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we are committed to serving you with dedication and care," said Deputy Chief Roberts.
The Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department offers the following safety tips to ensure a safe and joyful Valentine's Day:
Fire Safety: If you plan to use candles for a romantic dinner, never leave them unattended and keep them away from flammable materials.
Cooking Safety: Be mindful of cooking appliances and avoid leaving the kitchen while preparing meals. Ensure that smoke detectors are working properly.
Emergency Preparedness: Have an emergency plan in place and make sure all family members know what to do in case of a fire or other emergency.
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, the department encourages residents to show acts of kindness and support for their neighbors, especially those who may be elderly or vulnerable.

Founded in 1968, the Mount Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department is a small rural all volunteer fire department that strives to provide the highest quality of fire and rescue services to the citizens and visitors of our community. Department personnel are made up of dedicated community volunteers that are on standby twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week to keep the residents and visitors of Mount Pleasant and Gadsden County safe.
